The Everton Tigers basketball team was formed in June 2007.

The Blues teamed up with the Toxteth Tigers to form a new basketball club that compete in the British Basketball League.

The Tigers’ debut season in 2007/08 resulted in a seventh place finish in the BBL. During that particular campaign, Everton made their first appearance at the Liverpool Echo Arena and attracted a record crowd of over 6,000 when they took on local rivals the Chester Jets.
 
Everton Tigers continue to operate on the platform generated from the Toxteth Tigers programme that has enjoyed success from a grass roots level right up to international standard for over 40 years.

As well as competing at the elite level of British Basketball, Everton Tigers have a strong community presence with a number of far reaching initiatives.
