Everton Football Club is in mourning following the death of Chairman Bill Kenwright, who passed away on Tuesday, 24 October at the age of 78.
A lifelong Everton fan, he became a board member on October 23, 1989. On Boxing Day 1999 his True Blue Holdings consortium acquired the Club from Peter Johnson. Initially vice-chairman, after five years working alongside Sir Philip Carter, he accepted the position of chairman in June 2004.
