USM Finch Farm Celebrates 10th Anniversary
USM Finch Farm celebrates its 10th anniversary today and remains one of the country’s best training grounds, allowing Everton to continue producing some of the finest talent in the game. Every level of the Club, from all Academy players, the Ladies and Ronald Koeman’s first-team squad are housed at the state-of-the-art facility in Halewood. Acquired in 2003, the 57-acre site was soon turned into a first-class training complex, boasting 10 full-size grass pitches, including one designed to replicate the exact conditions of the Goodison Park playing surface. One full-size synthetic pitch and an indoor version, plus under-soil heating for first-team pitches and training areas, allow training in all weather conditions. 🔟 | Happy 10th birthday, USM Finch Farm! #EFC pic.twitter.com/KFgvV1SFV8 — Everton (@Everton) October 10, 2017 Off the pitch, every facet of being a professional footballer is covered. From three individual kit rooms, to two dining areas, the extensive medical facilities house everything from physiotherapy units to a recovery pool – with a submerged exercise bike for rehab - and a hydrospa. The newest development on the site is the recently-built first-team block for Koeman’s senior squad. The building houses medical facilities, changing rooms and the offices used by the Blues boss and his staff.
